40 SCHOOL BUS FLEET JUNE 2018 WWW SCHOOLBUSFLEET COM PEOPLEmanaged many fleet and facility projects over the years In his new position Ebert will continue to be responsible for acquiring and maintaining the growing number of company vehicles and company properties JENNY STANLEY has been promoted to corporate controller of Go Riteway For the past three years she served as assistant controller a role in which she was credited with helping to drive efficiencies and process improvements in the accounting and finance functions Go Riteway has more than 1350 employees and 1090 vehicles operating out of 18 Wisconsin locations The company provides service for 27 school districts TONY WATKINS and NATE BAGUIO have both been appointed to the roles of vice president of sales USA for Lion Electric Co which manufactures the eLion electric Type C school bus As previously reported March issue pg 47 the company also recently named a new chief commercial officer USA PETER REGO The appointments come at a time when Lion is expanding its lineup of electric vehicles The company is developing an electric Type A bus for paratransit school and public transportation that is expected to go to market this summer Lion also plans to launch a line of electric trucks this fall Watkins has more than 16 years of experience in sales and operational leadership He has led teams of more than 80 members and has covered as many as 12 states in the Midwest and Northeast regions Watkins said that he joined Lion because I share the same environmental and forward thinking values as the company and I envision my son going to school on an electric school bus when he starts school in a few years Baguio Lions other new vice president of sales previously worked in business development for the largest school bus contractor in North America First Student He reportedly sold more than 200 million in total contract value across 20 school systems Baguio called his new role with Lion the most exciting opportunity I have faced in my 28 years in the transportation industry I have the chance to change the traditional business of transportation culture through innovation and by providing green technologies that make sense economically are sustainable and will benefit our future generations School Bus Logistics LLC which provides logistics consulting and support to school districts across North America has added three new staff members SCOTT FRENCH transportation consultant JIM BERGERON route logistics specialist and BARBARA REYES route logistics manager French brings more than 40 years of industry experience to the team Since 2001 he has been the director of transportation for three large Colorado districts Aurora Public Schools Poudre School District in Fort Collins and Littleton Public Schools Bergeron is a school bus operations Wisconsin school bus operator Go Riteway Transportation Group has promoted four people in corporate and operations roles the company announced in March JOSHUA SMITH has been promoted to chief financial officer He started with Go Riteway in 2011 as operations controller and most recently served as vice president of finance NATE HAMILTON has been promoted to vice president of western region school bus operations He joined Go Riteway in 2013 as an operations supervisor in Oak Creek Wisconsin after a career in educational administration He soon advanced to terminal manager in Oak Creek and in 2016 was named regional operations manager for the companys western region JASON EBERT has been promoted to vice president of fleet and facilities He started with Go Riteway in 2010 as a fleet and facilities coordinator and has Smith Hamilton Ebert Stanley Watkins Baguio LESLIE KILGORE vice president of engineering for Thomas Built Buses recently won the Rodica Baranescu Award for Technical and Leadership Excellence in Automotive Engineering The honor which SAE International presents to three women each year celebrates the successes and leadership of women in the engineering profession RODICA BARANESCU for whom the award is named is a mechanical engineer who became the first woman to be elected president of SAE International in 2000 Kilgore joined Thomas Built Buses in 2016 One of her most notable accomplishments to date has been leading the development of Jouley Thomas Builts first Saf T Liner C2 electric school bus She is also working on new innovations under the companys BusWise Technologies umbrella Leslies leadership with her team and coworkers has consisted of challenging the status quo healthy debate and a strong will for her team to make a true difference in the pupil transportation industry with improved product features enhanced safety and authentic relationships said CALEY EDGERLY president and CEO of Thomas Built Buses Kilgore left and Baranescu
